What you walk away with
You cook every session. This is not a lecture with a tasting at the end.
- Meals you can actually cook on a budget that matches your income
- A shopping habit built around a list and unit price
- Knife skills and food safety you can use in any kitchen
- A plan for the week that survives a bad day
- Confidence cooking for other people
- A certificate of participation from Angels Nest
Two tracks
Track A is for parents and caregivers and runs the official six week sequence. Track B is built for young adults living on their own and ends with a food safety cook. Sessions below.
-
Set a positive example
How the adults in a house shape what everyone else eats, and small changes that stick.
-
Making meals with fruits, vegetables and whole grains
Building a plate that fills you up without costing more.
-
Build meal habits at home
Routines that survive a long shift and an empty fridge.
-
Power of planning
Planning a week of meals before you shop, not after.
-
Shopping on a budget
Unit price, store layout, and the difference between a sale and a deal.
-
Drink to your health
What you are drinking, what it costs, and what it is doing.
-
Let’s cook together
The capstone. A full food safety cook, start to finish, as a group.
